Waiting Waiting Waiting

OK, it's been spring now for over 2 whole days and where's the bone seeping warmth ! Bright sunshine beckons right outside with so much promise, but still that last blast of chilly air is waiting on my porch.
I'm also waiting for 17 Easter dinner guests to warm the house in quite another way :) It's been a while since we've had a warm Easter, Catholic or Orthodox. We should get lucky with Orthodox Easter this year, it's still a whole month away. We're a dual religion household, most years we celebrate the rebirth and resurrection twice. Really, as far as the holidays go, which one could be better? Could you imagine an extra Christmas ?! The kids love it, double the fun, double the parties, double the family, and double the Easter treats. Thank heavens not double the hostess duties though ! Maybe one day it will be my husband who orders, prepares and sets the lamb in the spit at 5AM Easter morn, but for now we're all quite content to leave it to the uncle who's spent decades perfecting his craft :)

:-) Reminds me of all the Orthodox Easters we spent at our friend's house in Long Island. I hope one day Alex gets to roast the lamb!! :-)
